FAQ'S
Can I order my own appraisal for a mortgage or purchase transaction?
Typically, the answer is no, the lender will be the one to order the appraisal as they have their own appraiser rotation. The lender typically will not accept an appraisal they did not order which will result in the borrower having to pay two appraisal fees.
Will my taxes go up and does the county assessor have access to my appraisal?
When we complete an appraisal, we have one client and that is the person who orders the appraisal. Your appraisal and home value is a private matter. Only the client will receive a copy of the appraisal.
How can I pay for my appraisal?
If your appraisal is ordered through your lender, the appraisal fee will be apart of your closing costs. If you are ordering the appraisal for yourself, we require payment at the time of inspection via, cash, check, or Venmo.
You Appraised my house for a mortgage or purchase transaction, how do I get a copy of my appraisal?
With this type of appraisal, the lender is the client, and we are only allowed to give the appraisal to the client. You will have to communicate with your lender to get a copy.
